Where are our graduate alumni now?

We are immensely proud of our graduate alumni, who typically leave our department with jobs, academic or industry, in hand.  Below are some of the jobs in academia that graduates from our department have landed in the last few years.

David Medeiros (2013) is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Carleton College.

Tim Chou (2013) is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Chinese as a Second Language, National Taiwan Normal University

Jon Yip (2013) is a post-doctoral fellow at the School for the Humanities at the University of Hong Kong, working with Professor Diana Archangeli.

Joseph Tyler is an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Qatar University.

Kevin McGowan (2011) is a postdoctoral Fellow in the Linguistics Department at Stanford University, working with Professor Meghan Sumner. This fellowship followed two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Rice University

Lauren Squires (2011) is Assistant Professor in the English Department at the Ohio State University. This position followed a year as an Assistant Professor of English at University of North Carolina, Willmington.

Susan Lin (2011) is Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of California Berkeley.  She begins this position following a three year postdoctoral position in the Department of Cognitive Science at Macquarie University, working with Katherine DeMuth.

Brook Hefright (2011) works as an Associate Research Scientist at the Center for Advanced Study of Language at the University of Maryland.

Sai Samant (2010) is a Research Associate at the Harvard Business School.

Anna Babel (2010) is an Assistant Professor in the Hispanic Linguistics Program in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the Ohio State University.

Yu-Fen Hsieh (2010) is the Head of Research at the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language at Nanyang Technological University.

Dina Kapetangianni (2010) is Adjunct Professor of Linguistics at the University of North Texaas.

Miki Obata (2010) is Associate Professor of Linguistics at Mie University.

Daman Tutunjian (2010) is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Humanities Lab of Lund University.

Mark Sicoli (2006) became an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Georgetown University in 2011, after spending several years as Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Alaska.
