  Xinting is interested in phonetics and phonology, particularly the areas of speech perception and second language acquisition. Her QRP investigated the issue of gradient phonological well-formedness using a lexical decision task in Standard Chinese. Her dissertation research will be examining the contribution of prosody to the perception of a foreign accent.
