Basic Information

IALLT-2003 has arranged group rates in several designated hotels as well as provided a University of Michigan dorm option with varied travel budgets in mind. Additionally, we have made available a list of non designated accomodations in the area for your own use.

U-M dorm rooms can be reserved as part of the online registration process with the cost added to the registration total. All hotel reservations are the individual responsibility of conference attendees and are not included as part of the registration process.

Description: Evening turn-down and housekeeping service, complimentary continental breakfast, and free valet parking are included with each room, as is a morning newspaper delivered to your door Monday through Saturday. Furnished in rich English decor, the Bell Tower Hotel's sixty-six guest rooms include luxurious standard rooms, Parlor Suites, one- and two-bedroom Atrium Suites, and Corner Suites. Description: Hawthorne Suites Ann Arbor offers rooms 50% larger than a typical hotel room, with fully-equipped kitchens and separate living room and bedroom areas. Rooms also include a working desk, separate modem lines and a 25” remote color television with VCR. Hawthorne Suites boasts an indoor pool, whirlpool, SportsCourt and fitness center. Complimentary hot breakfast buffet, coin-operated laundry service, fax, overnight mail and copier services, and complimentary shuttle service available upon request.

U-M Dormitory - Mosher Jordan Residence Hall (http://www.housing.umich.edu/residencehalls/mojo/)

Description: Michigan’s Mosher Jordan residence hall is located on "the Hill" area of campus and holds a reputation as one of Michigan’s nicest dormitory facilities. Originally built as the first women’s dormitory on campus the building dates to the 1930s. Please be aware that these are actual freshman dorm rooms. They are relatively small and simple, with shared bathroom/shower facilities down the hall from the room. The building’s air-conditioning is controlled centrally, and not individually per room.

Parking is not available near the dormitories nor is off site parking included with the cost of a dorm room.

Parking on campus is quite limited and dorm residents should make advance preparations if they on bringing a car. A limited number of Michigan guest permits are available for $8 per day and other visitor parking is likely to cost $1.50 per hour.
