Services at the LRC

At the LRC, we work with faculty, staff, and students in planning, designing and implementing the teaching of languages, literatures, and cultures at the University of Michigan. We have staff experienced in instructional design, technology integration, as well as audio and video production. We are happy to discuss your ideas and plans for language teaching with you.

  • “Nomads of the LRC” - LRC staff members hold drop-in hours throughout the semester in different campus locations
  • Room reservations for rooms at the LRC (alcoves, conference room, computer classrooms, and VVR)
  • Transfer of media to CTools and to online streaming
  • Training, group and individual workshops & professional development
  • Video screening
  • Web & videoconferencing (pedagogical and technological support)

For Language Students

  • Media Reserve in the Media Center
  • Support in finding and using tools and media for language learning in the Media Center
  • Support with in-class projects carried out in collaboration with the LRC (e.g. software tools, equipment)
  • Training & workshops (e.g. for software tools, videoconferencing equipment, researching language learning materials)
