For information on placement exams after your orientation, you should contact the individual departments.  Most departments offer an exam at the very beginning of each term.  Some arrange them individually.  Your best bet is a call right to the department.  If you have studied a language in the past, you are required to take a placement exam.

Click here to find out if your score on an AP exam will get you credit in LSA.  Remember that if you do get AP credit for a course, you will lose the AP credit if you take the course here on campus.  AP credits do NOT count for distribution.

Some of you may have taken International Baccalaureate Exams for credit. High Level IB Exam credit CAN count for distribution.

Retroactive Credits may be earned in French, Spanish, German, Latin and Hebrew and also in Math and Physics.  Here are the guidelines.  Click here if you need an application for language retrocredit.
