LSA Concentration Fair

The College of LSA expects students to declare a concentration by the end of the sophomore year. For many of you, this deadline is fast approaching. To assist students in their selection, the College sponsors an annual Concentration Fair that gives you the opportunity to talk with representatives from the LSA academic departments about their concentration and minor options. The Concentration Fair (March 26, 2008) is the focal point of Concentration Week (March 24-28), during which departments across LSA put on events designed to aid you in your selection of a concentration or a minor, and many of these sessions address career questions and concerns as well.  Please check back often as updates are posted regularly.

Pizza and drinks are provided for students from all levels of honors calculus up through senior math majors. Some of these topics lead into important concepts in theoretical or applied research, while others explain a clever solution to an interesting problem. Everything is formulated so as to avoid needing technical background beyond calculus, some exposure to methods of proof, and a moderate capacity for abstract thought.  Please visit http://www.math.lsa.umich.edu/undergrad/mathclub.shtml for additional information.
