Before Classes Begin
Prior to the first day of the term you may disenroll from the term. Contact the Office of the Registrar.
- Visit a Student Service Site (1513 LSA Bldg. or 1212 Pierpont Commons) make sure you have identification
- E-mail the request to ro.registration.questions@umich.edu (please include full name, id number and term)
- FAX your request to (734) 763-9053 (please include full name, ID number, term and signature)
- Mail your request to the Registrar's Office, 1513 LSA Bldg., 500 S. State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1392 (please include full name, ID number, term and signature)

Term Withdrawals Prior to the first day of the term you may disenroll from the term. After classes begin, you withdraw from your classes. You will be responsible for the registration and disenrollment fees regardless of your class attendance.

Drop (W) / Official Withdrawal / Unofficial Withdrawal (ED) If a student withdraws officially from a course after the first three weeks of a full term (first two weeks of a half-term), the course is recorded on the transcript with a W notation; neither credits toward a degree program nor honor points are earned.
