Degree Requirements The College awards three basic degrees, the Bachelor of Arts (AB), the Bachelor of Science (BS), and the Bachelor in General Studies (BGS).

Bachelor in General Studies The Bachelor in General Studies is an interdisciplinary degree which allows a student to combine subject areas and skills in a way that focuses intellectual development along broad lines.
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (BSChem) The curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (B.S. Chem. degree) serves students who are interested in professional careers in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields. Instead of 120 credits, this degree requires 124. Specific courses must be elected, in addition to the College degree requirements (Writing, Race & Ethnicity, Quantitative Reasoning, Area Distribution, and Language).
Individual Concentration Program the Individual Concentration Program (ICP) offers students in LSA a unique and challenging opportunity to plan and design their own interdisciplinary concentration. It allows students to integrate coursework from across the College to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a given academic issue.
