David M. Brawn – Received his BA (with Highest Honors in Anthropology) from the University of North Carolina. Completed his MA and PhD in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Michigan. His doctoral dissertation fieldwork was done in Bone, Indonesia under the auspices of a Fulbright-Hays fellowship, but upon its completion he moved into applied research in the area of Medical Anthropology. David has taught Anthropology at the University of Michigan and Albion College and worked as a Project Director at Wayne State University. He has also served as a regular member of a grant review study group at the National Institutes of Health. In addition to these things, David also plays something approximating soccer for Things Fall Apart, an indoor soccer team in the Comedy Bracket of a local O-40 Men’s League and softball for the Nematodes, one of Ann Arbor’s oldest excuses for wearing polyester pants.
