Facutly Computing Upgrade Program
In order to maintain a base level of computing hardware and software on faculty desktops, LS&A distributes Faculty Computing Upgrade Program (FCUP) funds each August. The FCUP provides sufficient funding to replace a mid-range PC or Macintosh or a low-end UNIX workstation, along with an inkjet printer and some software, every four years. Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Lecturers III are eligible. Funds are distributed in blocks to faculty members’ home departments and programs, which are responsible for developing procedures for prioritizing needs and distributing the funds.
