Replacing Parts
LSA-CSG will provide parts for repairable LSA general fund machines. We will provide parts for the repair of these machines to departmental support staff upon request. Each CSG service group will provide parts to the departments within their area of responsibility. The College provides funding sufficient to replace all general fund machines on a 4 to 5 year cycle.
Dell computers within the college have a 3-year parts warranty, and all technicians, including department support staff are expected to work with Dell directly to obtain parts. Parts for out of warranty machines will be provided by CSG.
Apple parts and service can be obtained from any Apple authorized service center, including LSAIT-CSG while the machine is under warranty. Out of warranty parts can be obtained from CSG.
This policy does not apply to the repair of personally owned or government funded machines.
