Preparing for a Successful

Video Conference


MOST IMPORTANTLY, give both yourself and LSA technical staff enough time to prepare for the event! Three weeks is a good rule of thumb for even the simplest event.

Coordinating the technical, logistical and administrative details of a video conference is often a very complicated process.

Patience, planning and rehearsing are essential principles for success!

LSA Video Converencing Support staff are available 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F at G330 Mason Hall, 763-4048 or lsa-videoconf-info@umich.edu.

Three weeks out...

This early phase is all about gathering information.

Give the "who/what/where" information from this checklist to a LSA Video Conferencing Support staff member.

The checklist information is critical -- without it, the support staff won't be able to assist you effectively!

Technical staff at the other institution will have similar information needs, so... give this info to your faculty peer.
