Diversity Affairs Committee

Purpose
The Diversity Affairs Committee (DAC) is a committee designed to address any issues of multiculturalism including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, ability, race, ethnicity, etc. The committee also serves as a link between other student organizations to help them to better collaborate and to extenuate the communication between each other. DAC’s purpose is to ensure that the characteristic that the University of Michigan prides itself on, diversity, is truly represented and respected throughout campus and thereby improving the overall campus climate.
Past DAC Projects
- Movie screening of Half the Sky in partnership with SAPAC
- Co-sponsorship of the Coalition for Queer People of Color Catwalk Extravaganza
- Linking In event about racial climate on campus
