STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

Many University of Michigan student organizations provide opportunities for community service and civic engagement. They help to forge connections between students with similar concerns and interests, and provide forums for discussing and addressing them.

Maize Pages provides a list of student organizations you can use to search for a specific organization, or narrow by category. You might try browsing under “Community Service” and/or “Politically/Socially Active” to find groups that are particularly interested in civic issues and action.

The Michigan Student Assembly provides opportunities for all students to get involved in planning and executing University projects and events through their various committees, commissions and task forces. The MSA committees and commissions website provides brief descriptions of the groups and links to further information, including how to become a member.
