Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum is about connecting people with nature, sustaining the earth, and caring for our natural heritage. Just as important-we're about sharing knowledge and promoting learning through our many events, educational programs, exhibits and displays, and special projects. Please join us! Exhibit and Display in the Conservatory at Matthaei... What do potatoes, carrots, and onions have in common? Where do we get chocolate and bananas? How do you grind wheat to make spaghetti? And can you really play with your food? Get the answers to all these questions and more in an interactive fall exhibit at Matthaei Botanical Gardens... Shadow Pavilion is a temporary experimental installation by U-M Taubman College professor Karl Daubmann in collaboration with John Marshall... The Gaffield Children's Garden is a place for exploration and fun in a natural setting specially constructed from a kids'-eye view... There's always something happening at the Arb & Gardens, whether it's a single cactus blooming in the Conservatory or a few thousand people enjoying Earth Day celebrations... There’s always something blooming somewhere at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. Whether inside the Conservatory or outside in the gardens, trails, and woods, you’ll find flowers and buds in every shape and color...
