Bundle up for a glorious winter hike through the Arb or Gardens. See views normally obscured by foliage. The day after a snow fall is always beautiful and the animal tracks so clear.

- Botanical Illustration I: Graphite
Learn basic processes and natural science illustration techniques for creating botanical drawings in graphite that combine accuracy with graceful composition. Each session includes demonstration and practice in drawing botanical shapes and patterns from live plant specimens. The class will also explore the fascinating history of botanical art and what’s being created all over the world today. A supply list will be sent before the first class and a botanical specimen is provided for the first class. Although previous drawing experience is helpful, beginning artists are welcome and encouraged to attend. #11-AE-02 $172 members and U-M students; $216 nonmembers.
