- 2012 U-M Nichols Arboretum Peony Festival
The Peony Festival this year celebrates the 90th anniversary of the famed Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden, the largest collection of antique and heirloom peonies in North America. The festival also features free staff-led and self-guided tours, cut-flower display in the Reader Center, and more. Free admission. Nichols Arboretum is open sunrise to sunset.

All invited to enjoy a free concert of Chinese vocal music amid the peonies in the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden. The local musical group Xiangyin Choir, led by Liyan Sun, performs a selection of Chinese songs about flowers and their roles in Chinese culture. A rare opportunity to hear live music in the Arb's peony garden. Free. 734.647.7600.
