- 2012 U-M Nichols Arboretum Peony Festival
The Peony Festival this year celebrates the 90th anniversary of the famed Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden, the largest collection of antique and heirloom peonies in North America. The festival also features free staff-led and self-guided tours, cut-flower display in the Reader Center, and more. Free admission. Nichols Arboretum is open sunrise to sunset.

Paint or draw in the beautiful U-M Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden with instructor and plein air artist Janet Kohler. Janet will discuss effective methods to simplify your composition and create stunning visual results. Bring your sketchbook, preferred painting medium, sunscreen, and hat. Use UM lot M28 adjacent to Ronald McDonald House parking lot for easier access to the Arboretum and wear comfortable shoes. Registration through the Ann Arbor Art Center.
