In this hot month, see the beautifully restored Riverfront at the Arb with a canoe landing, river access, benches, and picnic tables. This is a wonderful destination for visitors traveling the Arb trails or the Huron River.

  • Music in the Arb - Opera!
    An outdoor evening of selections from operas sung by very talented University of Michigan School of Music students accompanied by piano. Student performers include Francesca Chiejina, James Schmid , and Kevin Harvey. 

    Bring a picnic dinner (no alcohol, please) and a blanket or chair to enjoy the concert. Concert is weather permitting. Visit our Twitter page or Facebook page for weather updates.

    Concert takes place in the amphitheater in Nichols Arboretum. early arrival is encouraged. Free parking available in the U-M blue lots on Washington Hts. above Ronald Macdonald House and Nichols Drive below E.Medical Center Dr. in front of the U-M Hospital. Paid parking also available in the U-M Hospital P2 parking structure. Several Ann Arbor city buses and U-M blue buses travel to the Arb. Please visit the Ann Arbor or U-M transportation websites before taking the bus to determine times and routes. Access amphitheater via the 1610 Washington Hts. Arboretum entrance and via the Nichols Drive blue lot along the river. Follow the path along the river until you reach the amphitheater.
