In spring, Matthaei and the Arb burst into life. Over 20,000 daffodils in a line emerge and bloom at the Arb The fragrance of lilacs is on the air. Woody plants show off their flowers and the peonies peak in June.

In this hot month, see the beautifully restored Riverfront at the Arb with a canoe landing, river access, benches, and picnic tables. This is a wonderful destination for visitors traveling the Arb trails or the Huron River.

  • Incredible Edibles - A Sensational Nature children's education program
    Who doesn't love to eat? Be a farmer at Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Participants will harvest vegetables and identify different pollinators, learn where our food comes from, prepare a take-home treat. Meet lobby at Matthaei.
