- Free Welcome Week Performances for Students
All U-M students invited to free student-only Welcome Week performances of Shakespeare in the Arb. This season's play is "A Midsummer Night's Dream," directed by LSA/Residential College professor Kate Mendeloff. Sun., Sept. 5 and Mon., Sept. 6 (Labor Day). One performance each night. Performances start at 6 p.m. near the Washington Hts. entrance to the Arb. A Whimsical Outdoor Garden Display
The flamingos have landed—at Matthaei! Don’t miss our summer exhibit and display featuring dozens of pink flamingo lawn ornaments creatively painted and decorated by U-M art students, Ann Arbor Public School students, and community members. Display also includes garden art, topiary, whirligigs, seasonal plantings, education and interpretation, and more. Free. Display runs June 19 through Sept. 30.
