cultivating community

calendar

Below is the Cultivating Community Calendar. We offer an opportunity for University of Michigan students to become leaders in the area of community food systems through the following activities:

  • Drop-in hours: Open hours where CC interns will be working at the gardens. Feel free to stop by even if you can only come for part of the time!
  • Scheduled workdays: Reserved for bigger projects where we need a certain number of volunteers: plantings, hauling compost, or building structures at the gardens.
  • Workshops: Short, hands-on classes on food-related topics such as container gardening, cooking with garden produce, and building your own compost bin.
  • Field trips: Workdays at places like local farms, farmers markets, urban agriculture projects, and other food system organizations.
