Below is the Cultivating Community Calendar. We offer an opportunity for University of Michigan students to become leaders in the area of community food systems through the following activities:
- Drop-in hours: Open hours where CC interns will be working at the gardens. Feel free to stop by even if you can only come for part of the time!
- Scheduled workdays: Reserved for bigger projects where we need a certain number of volunteers: plantings, hauling compost, or building structures at the gardens.
- Workshops: Short, hands-on classes on food-related topics such as container gardening, cooking with garden produce, and building your own compost bin.
- Field trips: Workdays at places like local farms, farmers markets, urban agriculture projects, and other food system organizations.
