The Support Services area of the Department provides management of the MCDB Graduate Program and administrative support to the Graduate Studies Committee (GSC) as well as assisting in the recruitment process and serving as the liaison between the Department and the Rackham Graduate School.
Human resources management in MCDB is separated by the University of Michigan category of employee. Employment policies and procedures differ for each category of employee and our administrative staff is here to assist with the employment procedures and offer guidance on other personnel matters.

Primary duties of Lab Course Support Services include setting up and reassembling labs for weekly sessions; ordering and organizing chemicals, supplies, and equipment; making solutions, media and maintaining live cultures, and testing and troubleshooting experiments.
The Bioorders System is used for purchasing orders from labs.
