Meet the First Year Students

First Year Students are the heart of MCSP! From the Programming Board, classes, educational events, peer tutoring services, and friendly student and adult staff, first year students have the best of what Michigan has to offer to incoming freshmen.

The Resident Advisers (RAs) for the Michigan Community Scholars Program are juniors and seniors at UM. These students live on the floors with the residents, serve as a resource, community builder, crisis manager, listener, and friend.

The RAs also facilitate small discussion sections of the 1-credit UC 102 seminar in order to help encourage communication between first-year students. If you have a question or concern, then seek out one of the Resident Advisors.
