Stephanie Rowley is a Professor of Developmental Psychology and with the Combined Program in Education and Psychology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Rowley received a BA in Psychology and African American studies and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan. Her research is focused on the influence of race and gender on academic self-concept and achievement. Dr. Rowley is particularly interested in how institutional and individual racism, disparities in school resources, and the impact of federal policies relate to achievement disparities.
