Harry Kashdan is a PhD pre-candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature and a coordinator of Mediterranean Topographies (Meditopos), an interdisciplinary research group which is part of the University's Mediterranean studies initiative. His research interests are in twentieth-century Italian and Arabic literature, cosmopolitanism and nationalism, minority experiences of history, Mediterranean Jewish communities, exile and nostalgia, masculinity, and trans-national food cultures.
