Please join us for a presentation about UM's semester in Washington, DC and how it might support the educational and professional goals of undergraduate students in your department, school or unit.

The Michigan in Washington (MIW) program allows students in any undergraduate program of studies to earn a full semester of credits while living in DC and working 4 days/week at an internship of their choice.  Evening courses allow students to fill humanities and social science credits.  The required research seminar fills the upper level writing requirement.  Students do a paper on a topic of their choice, receiving credit in other departments with prior arrangements.  Many of these papers are published or receive awards).

Professor Edie Goldenberg (Faculty Director) and Bai Linh Hoang (graduate stident instructor) will begin with a short presentation, followed by Q&A from the audience.  A panel of students who have completed the program will be on hand for questions and comments.  The session lasts an hour, with additional time for further discussion if needed.  A light lunch and beverages will be provided.
