  • Description: A year ago, on March 27, James Brandon Bernardi (F10) lost his life in a tragic automobile accident. James came to the Michigan in Washington Program through University of Michigan Political Science Professor’s recommendation. He was a transfer student from Washtenaw Community College to U of M. James said that “The Washington semester gave me a vision for the future.” He interned for the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities and decided to go to law school as a result of his experience in DC. MIW faculty, staff, students and friends will observe a moment of silence in his honor at noon on March 27, 2012.
