    Marc Sandalow is an Associate Academic Director at UCDC and runs the California News Service.
    Sandalow is the former Washington Bureau Chief for the San Francisco Chronicle. He spent 21 years with the newspaper covering Berkeley, San Francisco City Hall, earthquakes, World Series (including an earthquake at a World Series), an impeachment trial, the contested election between Bush and Gore, the 2001 terrorist attacks, and the rise of San Francisco Rep. Nancy Pelosi. He is the author of Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Life, Times, and Rise to Power, as well as Ballparks, a Panoramic History.
