Overview

The Michigan in Washington Program offers an opportunity for 20-25 University of Michigan undergraduates from all majors to spend a semester (Fall or Winter) in Washington, D.C. The program provides a chance for students to combine coursework with an internship that reflects each student's particular area of interest.

The areas of interest include (but are not limited to) American politics, international relations, history, the arts, public health, economics, the media, the environment, and science and technology policy.  While classes are taught by University of Michigan faculty, students also gain access to local Washington experts in their research area. Further information for interested students is available on this website in the "for students" section.
