6 Michigan in-residence credits

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
• Minimum 2.75 GPA
• Four semesters of college-level Spanish and/or two semesters of college-level Portuguese (or equivalent)

The summer program in Salvador da Bahia, administered by the Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE).  Students will enroll in two courses: Portuguese language and Contemporary Brazil.  Special focus is given to the Afro-Brazilian experience in Bahia.  Students will participate in cultural excursions in Salvador da Bahia and its surroundings.
