The College Year in Athens experience is designed to guide students to a greater understanding and appreciation of Greece—ancient, medieval and modern—and the surrounding region. The summer program consists of three consecutive sessions. Each session is three-weeks long. For each session, students choose one class to study intensively. Two sequential non-overlapping sessions (two courses) are mandatory for UM students; however, students may take a third non-overlapping course. Students will receive 3 credits per course for a total of 6 or 9 credits on this program. Courses are available in the areas of Modern Greek Language, Archaeology and History, Service Learning and Anthropology, and Religion. See CYA’s website for more information.
