This program is designed for students with an interest and background in Classical Studies. All students must take an integrated, comprehensive course entitled “The Ancient City,” which counts as two classes. In addition, students normally choose three other courses from the following: Intermediate or Advanced Latin; Intermediate Greek; Advanced Greek; Renaissance and Baroque Art History; or Elementary Italian (no other level of Italian is available). Students are required to take at least one course in Latin or Greek as part of their course load. See Duke website for course descriptions/syllabi.
