7 Michigan in-residence credits per term

  • Minimum four semesters of college level Spanish or equivalent
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Sophomore, Junior, and Senior standing required

Students spend one week in Madrid followed by five weeks in Salamanca where students enroll in classes taught by UM instructors and faculty at the University of Salamanca Cursos Internacionales Summer Program. Depending on their placement, students earn credit equivalent to Spanish 275/276, 310, beginning and advanced 300-level, and 400 level classes. Students will be placed into one of four levels based on prior Spanish coursework. Students will participate in cultural excursions in Madrid and Salamanca and their surroundings.
