At METU students take two or three of the following courses: Beginning Turkish; Contemporary Turkey: Turkish State and Society; Architecture in Situ: Seljukid and Ottoman (Islamic) Art and Architecture in Turkey; Early Anatolian Citizens. Bogaziçi summer program offers a full range of courses in the humanities and social sciences; other courses focus specifically on Turkish language and Turkish study.
