The Celsius system for temperature (used virtually everywhere outside the U.S.) is based on a scale of 100, with the freezing point of water at 0 degrees and the boiling point at 100. In many parts of the world, time is calculated on a 24-hour system and in particular, you will notice this on train and bus schedules. To calculate time in this manner, simply add 12 to any hour past 12 noon. Therefore, six oclock in the morning will still be 6:00. However, at 8 oclock in the evening, your schedule will read 20:00 rather than 8:00p.m.
