ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS FOR EDUCATION ABROAD

BRITISH MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIPS
British Marshall Scholarships provide for two years of post-graduate study at any British university. Students may enter this competition simultaneously with the Rhodes Scholarship, using the same application. Visit their website for more info: www.marshallscholarship.org

CIRCUMNAVIGATORS
The Circumnavigators Club Around-the-World Study and Research Grant offers $8,000 in funding to one UM, MSU, or Wayne State student for the purpose of gathering information abroad on a significant project of general interest in the area of international human relations. The project must be carried out over a ten-week period and be between the student’s junior and senior years. The application deadline is late October. Application must be submitted to Mary Carroll at 945 Nottingham, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230. FOGARTY MINORITY RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM
Fogarty Minority Research Training Program AWARDS, funded by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health, are designed to provide international training opportunities in biomedical and behavioral research for minority undergraduates, graduate students and faculty members. FULBRIGHT PROGRAM
The Fulbright Program offers approximately 800 grants for graduate study abroad in over 100 countries. Most of the grants provide round-trip transportation, tuition, and maintenance for one academic year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application and must generally hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent before the beginning date of the grant, and in most cases, be proficient in the language of the host country. The application deadline is in mid-to-late September each year. For more information visit the International Institutes website

ROTARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Rotary Scholarships are available to undergraduates who have completed two years of study in the U.S. and wish to spend their junior or senior year in a foreign country where Rotary Clubs are located. The scholarship provides tuition, living costs, international travel, and up to two months of intensive language training. Students interested in applying should note that the deadlines for these awards are as much as a year in advance of the proposed time abroad. RHODES SCHOLARSHIP **
The Rhodes Scholarship provides for two years of post-graduate study at Oxford University. To enter the competition students must submit a 1,000-word personal essay, an unofficial transcript, four letters of recommendation, and a list of extracurricular activities. Applications are due in early September. WINSTON CHURCHILL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Winston Churchill Foundation Scholarship is awarded nationally for the study of science, mathematics, or engineering at Cambridge University's Churchill College. To be eligible, applicants must take the GRE.
