Application

Fall 2009 application
The 2009 application is now available.

The Organizational Studies Program invites interested students to apply to the concentration. Space in this rigorous concentration program is limited to ensure adequate faculty and program resources to serve students and provide a high-quality educational experience.

Admissions takes place once each year, in early Winter term.

Requirements for application:
  • Applicants may be 2nd year LSA students (Note: Non-LSA students can apply to the program if considering a cross campus transfer or joint degree.)
  • At the time of application, applicants must have completed (with final grades showing) at least two of the three prerequisite courses, and must be at least currently enrolled in the third

Materials required for application:
  • Completed application form
  • Essay (see instructions on application form)
  • Updated Resume
  • Official UM transcript, ordered from Wolverine Access (Student Business- order transcript)
  • Official transcript(s) from any other higher education institutions attended (Note: Transcripts from other schools often take several weeks to be delivered. Order yours early.)

Review process:
  • The admission process is very competitive, and space is limited.
  • Program faculty will make admissions decisions based on overall academic performance, performance in prerequisite classes, and performance on essay questions.
  • The review of applications will be completed immediately following the application deadline, and decisions will be communicated to students before Spring break.

Please note that students are permitted to apply only once to the Organizational Studies concentration. If you have questions about admissions, please refer to the Admissions FAQs and to the Advising Information section of this web site.
