OS Waitlist Policy

The waitlist policy for ORGSTUDY courses varies by level. See below for details.

ORGSTUDY 200-level courses
Open to all students. Waitlist priority will be given to sophomores and freshmen in waitlist order. Students will have 5 business days to register for the class.

ORGSTUDY 310
This course is only for Organizational Studies students.

ORGSTUDY 305
OS students will be given preference on the waitlist. Waitlist priority will be at the discretion of the professor of the class.

ORGSTUDY 410

This course is only for Organizational Studies students.

For all upper-level (300 + 400) seminars and lab ORGSTUDY Courses:

  1. Organizational Studies majors will be given preference on the waitlist over non-OS students.
  2. Waitlist priority will be at the discretion of the professor of the class.

Once given permission, students will have 3 business days to register for the course. If a student does not use the class permission before it expires, the next student chosen by the faculty member teaching the course will be given permission.

It is critical that students attend classes from the beginning of the term. Even though students may be registered officially for a course, the department may give away places in a course if students do not attend the first two course meetings.
