Welcome to Organizational Studies at the University of Michigan

You are about to embark on a voyage that will teach you to see with new eyes. Whether you are thinking about the structures of legal systems, markets, educational systems, or workplaces, Organizational Studies offers an interdisciplinary lens to understand the complex world we inhabit. No matter who we are or what we do, organizations influence how we feel, what we think, and what we can accomplish. In the Fall of 2007, the Barger Leadership Institute was launched to provide learning opportunities for our students that extend far beyond the conventional classroom experiences. The Institute is dedicated to developing tomorrow´s organizational leaders and preparing them to succeed in a global and ever changing world. Its mission is to realize the leadership potential of Organizational Studies students through field based learning, research, and scholarship.
