Monthly Organizational Studies Talk (MOST) Wednesday, September 24, 2008 12:00 - 1:00; 753 Dennison OS Alumna, Kate Heinze will discuss the creation of new markets and their relationship to economic and cultural change. This talk presents a study of how social movements fuel solutions to the challenges of market creation in the context of the movement and market for grass-fed meat and dairy products. Kate Heinze is a doctoral candidate in Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is an alumna of the Organizational Studies program. During her time in OS, she served as a peer mentor and completed an honors thesis. Her research focuses on the intersection of institutional theory and culture in the contexts of values-based entrepreneurship and healthcare. |
