I work on problems at the intersection of logic, philosophy of action, practical reason, bounded rationality and computer science. My current research is guided by two related pairs of questions. First, how can we accommodate empirical facts about the limits of our cognitive capacities in our account of rational behavior, and what -- if anything -- is the normative upshot of this? Second, how can we represent certain modes of commonsense reasoning using formal systems, and what do we gain from such representations?
