Dmitri was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. After spending two years at ASU, he got his B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University. Before coming to Michigan in the Fall of '08, his post-collegiate life consisted of several odd-jobs in and around Boston, MA and a seven month trip through Southeast Asia, India, and East Africa.
Outside of Philosophy, he enjoys playing blues guitar, acting, and writing. He is convinced that Stevie Ray Vaughn's rendition of 'Little Wing' represents the greatest guitar work ever recorded. His favorite book of the last year was "Never Let me Go", by Kazuo Ishiguro. If pressed, he'll tell you that his favorite stand-up comic is Patton Oswalt. He is only vaguely disturbed by the pretense of writing about himself in the third person.
