Journals

Tanner is fortunate to maintain a strong journal collection, both in print and electronically (thanks to the University Library, faculty and students have access to hundreds of electronic journals). Tanner journals carry dates from as early as 1892, in the case of Mind.

Current journals are kept in the reading area of the main room. Current bound journals, from 2005 to the present, are shelved in the periodicals room. Earlier volumes of bound journals are kept in the seminar room across the hall from Tanner Library, with some exceptions: Journal of Philosophy (Volume 27, 1930-), Mind (Volume 1, 1892-), and Philosophical Review (Volume 29, 1920-). These titles are located in Tanner's main periodicals room.

Tanner subscribes to Oxford Studies in Early Modern Philosophy, Oxford Studies in Metaethics, Oxford Studies in Metaphysics, Oxford Studies in Normative Ethics, and Oxford Studies in the Philosophy of Religion which are not available online.
