Teaching Resources

The University Library provides two support labs for incorporating technology into the classroom and research.

The Faculty Exploratory was designed specifically for faculty at the University of Michigan to enhance lecturing, research and publishing skills. Many of its programs are available to graduate students as well. The Exploratory offers workshops on such topics as citation programs, CTools, dissertations and word-processing programs, Power Point, web page design, as well as research and technology guides. Individual appointments, telephone (647-7406) and e-mail consultations, are also available.

The Knowledge Navigation Center offers skilled staff to lead any University of Michigan student, faculty or staff member through the many dimensions of information technology, from exploring the World Wide Web to creating multimedia tools for teaching and learning. Help is available for scanning, graphic design, Microsoft Office programs, web development and a host of other software materials.
