Students must register for an information session before declaring a PitE concentration or minor. Follow this link for information session dates and to register for an information session.

USB Office Walk-in Advising Schedule (Peer Advising Only)Peer advisors are available for additional walk-in advising times

PitE's Peer Advisors are also available for walk-in advising in the PitE Office (1120 USB) during the following times:

Tuesday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Thursday
8:30 a.m – 10:00 a.m.

There is no walk-in peer advising in the USB on Mondays or Fridays.

Walk-In Advising for Winter 2012 (1538 Dana Building)

In addition to regular scheduled appointments, PitE's lead concentration, practical (field) experience, and peer advisors are also available in office 1538 in the Dana Building to answer your quick questions. Please see the walk-in advising schedule below. While advisors can answer quick questions, they will not have full access to student files during walk-in advising sessions. A follow-up appointment may need to be scheduled.

3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.:   Practical Field Experience Advising with Kimberly Smith

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Peer Advising with Carina Easley-Appleyard and Stephanie Chen

There is no walk-in advising in 1538 Dana on Fridays.

PitE Academic Advisors


When you are ready to select specialization courses, the concentration advisor will talk with you about your interests and review the specialization approval process. If necessary, she will refer you to an appropriate faculty member for further help in selecting your courses. Advising questions can also be e-mailed to environment.program@umich.edu. Undeclared students must first attend an information session before scheduling an appointment with an advisor.
