PitE Outstanding Student Awards

Outstanding Concentrators and Minors Award Criteria

Each year, PitE recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated both high academic achievement and dedicated service to PitE. Service to PitE can include demonstrated leadership in PitE Club, working as a peer advisor, or engaging the community. The committee will select up to two concentrators and two minors to award up to four awards. 

Student Award Nomination Materials

To be considered for these awards, students must send the following materials to PitE:
1. Unofficial transcript
2. 1-page resume
3. Statement of achievements (500-word maximum)
4. Nomination letter

Both student self-nominations and nominations from instructors will be accepted. Students are responsible for submitting all of the nomination materials listed above. However, instructors should inform nominated students so that the student knows to submit the required nomination materials.  

How to apply

Students must email nomination materials to PitE (ksmithz@umich.edu) by Friday, March 22 by 5:00 p.m. Materials must be submitted in a single PDF or word document.
