PitE is seeking a graduating senior to represent PitE by giving a commencement speech at the SNRE Spring Commencement Ceremony, on Saturday, May 3rd in Rackham Auditorium. This speaker will address the PitE and SNRE faculty, graduating seniors and their families, and also be recognized at the PitE Graduation Reception on Friday, May 2nd.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a draft of your speech and email indicating your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00pm on Friday, March 17th.
Criteria for speeches are as follows:
- Should be about 5 minutes in length (no more than 1,000 words), and
- Positively reflect on your growth and experiences in PitE
Students should also include:
- A photo (headshot) to include in any commencement materials
- A brief bio that includes your degree plan (B.S. or B.A.), specialization, and career goals
PitE’s scholarship committee will select the speaker in April. The chosen speaker will be notified by April 1st, and then have until April 28th to submit a polished speech.
