Student Group Funding
The Program in the Environment has funds available to declared PitE students who are participating in a conference or activity.
Awarding Criteria: The decision to award funds will be based on the following criteria:
- How well activity/event relates to and enhances PitE’s mission
- Percentage of PitE students in the group
Group funding can be used towards the following expenses:
- Conference Registration
- Travel (e.g. gas money)
- Lodging (e.g. hotel costs)
- Facilities or Equipment rental costs
Funding requests will only be considered for declared PitE concentrators or minors. The activity, conference or event should relate to the study of the environment and PitE’s mission.

All applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis, and students will be notified within two weeks of the application submission. Applications are due the second Friday of each month (unless otherwise noted via email or website).
Please return completed application and supporting materials to PitE (1120 USB) by the 2nd Friday of the month. Students will be notified 2 weeks after submitting the application. Please email your questions to email@example.com.
**Student groups are eligible to receive group funding once an academic year. However, student groups are eligible to receive funding from year to year, and must submit a new application each time they request funding.
