Professor Barry Rabe was the second director of the Program in the Environment (2003-2005), who expanded PitE's curriculum to include a large number of both social science and humanities courses, and helped PitE earn the reputation as the university's model of successful interdisciplinary undergraduate education. When he retired from his post as director, the Barry G. Rabe Endowment Fund was established to help fund in perpetuity PitE student interns in the environmental policy field. Today these scholarships continue to be awarded to students pursuing an environmental policy internship or participating in the Michigan in Washington semester program.
We invite you to honor Professor Rabe and support our students by making a gift to the Barry G. Rabe Endowment Fund. This fund constitutes a gift for endowment, and distributions from the fund shall be made in accordance with the university's then existing endowment distribution policy.
